Some companies have a very clear view on what they want, others are looking out for proposals on what the internet has to offer them.

deKat webdesign's Acceptable Use Policy is designed to help protect our customers and the Internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities. As such, we prohibit unsolicited commercial appeals and/or any disruption of Internet services. Examples of such activities are given below:

• Sending unsolicited e-mail is strictly prohibited. Using an any e-mail address hosted by deKat webdesign to collect responses from unsolicited commercial e-mail is also prohibited. Due to the administrative cost associated with violations of this policy, deKat webdesign reserves the right to make an administrative charge of up to €500 against any violators of this policy.
• Activities which adversely affect the ability of other people or systems to use our services are prohibited.
• Attempts, whether successful or not, to gain access to any computer system, or customer's data, without consent is prohibited.
• deKat webdesign hosting accounts have limits on the storage space allowed for both the web site and e-mail. To minimize the chances of this occurring, customers should make sure their e-mail program settings are not causing e-mail to be left on the server. If the total storage exceeds the hosting plan limits, they will be subject to additional charges for that billing period. If deKat webdesign determines that an account is exceeding the disk utilization limit, the account owner will be notified by e-mail. If the excess use continues for more than 48 hours after such notification, the owner will be given the choice of upgrading to a larger account or to modifying the activity creating the excess use.
• Attempting to impersonate any person, using forged headers or other identifying information, is prohibited. The use of nicknames does not constitute impersonation.
• It may be necessary for deKat webdesign employees to examine system accounting logs and other records to resolve system problems. deKat webdesign reserves the right to access an account's mailbox to resolve system problems or mail system errors.
• In the event that an account is inactivated or suspended as a result of any prohibited activities, the account may be subject to reactivation charges and/or deposit requirements to be determined by deKat webdesign .
• Untimely payment of any and all amounts due may result in account suspension and/or cancellation.
• deKat webdesign stricly refuses sites with content in the following list. All customers are expected to respect this policy and any site that is found to violate it is subject to immediate termination without notice or any right to refund.
  Strictly forbidden are:
  • pornographic or adult sites
  • hate group sites, explicitly discriminating sites or sites calling for violence
  • weapon and military websites
• In addition, deKat webdesign will cooperate with the appropriate legal authorities in investigating claims of illegal activity, including but not limited to illegal transfer or use of copyrighted material, postings or e-mail containing threats of violence, or other illegal activity.

If you believe one of the deKat webdesign clients have violated this policy, you are invited to report the violation at abuse@dekat.com. We will look into the matter and take appropriate action.
